Operational Software Engineer

Job Overview

REQUIRES SC CLEARANCE, 2 DAYS ONSITE IN TELFORD

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our operations team, contributing to the stable performance and continual improvement of a host of Enterprise Integration Services across a range of infrastructure platforms. Leveraging knowledge in Java-based products such as WebLogic and Spring Boot, you will play a vital role in delivering and supporting the EIS Contracts' Software Roadmap during its transition to Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

• 5+ years of solid Java experience
• Proven expertise in Java Microservices, Java Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 2
• Experience with cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bamboo, Git Runner)
• Strong interpersonal skills and team ethic
• Experience working in Scrum and Kanban environments
• Experience with Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
• Innovative thinking and strong problem solving skills to feed a healthy backlog of internal system and service improvement work
• Regular on site presence to promote and encourage hybrid working in others
• SC Clearance
