Our recent Ofsted report celebrated our "high expectations for pupils' behaviour" within a "highly ambitious and inclusive curriculum", concluding that the school could be judged outstanding at a future inspection.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised professional to join our Inclusion Team as Operational SEND Lead. Working closely with the SENDCo, senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring pupils are identified early, supported effectively and fully included in all aspects of school life.
The successful applicant will:- Have an ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students.
- Have significant experience supporting children and young people with SEND and additional barriers to learning.
- Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach.
- Be skilled in maintaining accurate SEND records, provision maps and Individual Support Plans.
- Support and quality assure Assess, Plan, Do, Review (APDR) processes.
- Work effectively with parents, carers and external agencies to coordinate support for pupils.
- Lead and support inclusion and intervention staff to ensure high quality provision.
- Have excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills.
- Be committed to ensuring every child can achieve, participate, belong and succeed.
- Demonstrate resilience, initiative and a solution-focused approach.
- A strong culture of inclusion where every child is known, supported and valued.
- A recent Ofsted inspection recognising our ambitious and inclusive curriculum.
