Operational Resilience Consultant FinTech

Robert Half is supporting their client, an innovative financial services scale-up, in their search for an experienced Operational Resilience Consultant to join as an associate. The client has made strong progress across wider risk disciplines but now requires urgent, hands-on support to remediate gaps and embed UK Operational Resilience requirements. This is a delivery-focused role, ideal for someone with practical experience in scenario testing and regulatory remediation.

Contract Assignment Details:

  • Location: London (Hybrid 1 day per week in the City)
  • Duration: Initial 3 months (with potential extension)
  • Day Rate: £550-600 p/day via PAYE PLUS 12.07% holiday pay accrued (employer's NI & tax deducted at source - no umbrella company fees)
  • Start Date: Subject to onboarding and preliminary meetings, with an estimated turnaround of approximately 2 weeks, including time for technology setup and related processes.

Experience Needed:

The Ops Res Consultant will bring hands-on resilience delivery experience and the ability to quickly stabilise and strengthen regulatory alignment:

  • Proven track record of delivering UK Operational Resilience requirements within financial services.
  • Practical experience in designing, coordinating, and executing scenario testing exercises.
  • Strong understanding of PRA/FCA operational resilience rules and ability to remediate identified gaps.
  • Experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and mapping Important Business Services.
  • Ability to design and implement remediation plans addressing resilience weaknesses.
  • Experience embedding incident response and crisis management playbooks to ensure readiness.
  • Clear documentation and reporting skills to track progress, risks, and outstanding actions.
  • Nice to Have: Knowledge of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) and ability to align frameworks with EU expectations.
  • Collaborative approach with proven ability to work closely across risk, ops, and technology functions.
