Job Description

Operational Resilience Analyst - Financial Services

Excellent opportunity opens to join an established Financial Services Organisation as their new Operational Resilience Analyst. You will be a driving force in the organisation's Operational Resilience function, taking ownership of business impact analysis and supplementing the Head of Operational Resilience in plan delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The principal task will be to:

  • Support the business in the update of Business Impact Analysis and development of Business Continuity Plans.
  • Support the Operational Resilience Team develop and facilitate exercise and tests to ensure regulatory compliance for Important Business Services

They will:

  • Develop remediation action plans for identified vulnerabilities
  • Track and monitor the remediation process and provide MI reporting
  • Update Both Business Continuity and IBS documentation, including status updates for the OR Self-Assessment document
  • Liaise and work with both the business and the Operational Resiliency teams to address any additional testing required as a result of the remediation actions
  • The role will also champion the cultural change to a more proactive approach to Operational Resilience
  • They will support the Head of Operational Resilience as requested for the delivery of the Operational Resilience annual plan.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in an Operational Resilience role identifying IBS and vulnerabilities remediation.
  • Good experience in facilitating meetings and workshops at operational and senior management level.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements of PRA/FCA and in the production of formal policy/procedural type documentation.
  • A sound understanding of business operating models within a financial services/insurance company
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good Analysis skills
  • Advanced user of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio

Desirable

  • 2+ years of data analysis/Reporting
  • Previous Risk knowledge
  • Project management (PRINCE2 or equivalent)
