One to One Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant (1:1 SEMH) - Huyton

£92+ per day Start: ASAP Long-term Full Time (8:30-3:30)

A well-established 2-form entry Primary School in Huyton (Ofsted Good) is looking for a confident, proactive Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil with SEMH needs. This role involves supporting behaviour regulation, helping maintain focus in class, and working closely with the school's behaviour and safeguarding team.

• Providing consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour
• Implementing behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies
• Working alongside the class teacher and pastoral/behaviour teams
• Maintaining a structured, calm and safe learning environment
• Contributing to daily routines and clear expectations

• At least 6 months' experience working with children (within the last 2 years)
• Strong SEN/SEMH experience and a resilient, solution-focused approach
• Experience managing challenging behaviour (desirable)
• Team Teach certificate (desirable but not essential)
• Right to Work in the UK
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Able to provide two references
