Onboarding and Training Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Onboarding and Training Coordinator to join our People team in Milton Keynes. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional onboarding experience for new starters while ensuring training activities are coordinated efficiently across the project.
Working closely with labour providers and works teams, you will onboard all operatives in a timely manner, ensuring all competencies are uploaded and verified. You will coordinate and monitor background screening checks through completion, support the provision of IT equipment and maintain accurate employee records across relevant systems.
The role involves monitoring shared team mailboxes, responding to enquiries within agreed service levels, and escalating issues where necessary. You will support white coloured onboarding activities to ensure continuity of service and compliance across the project.
In addition, you will coordinate training bookings to ensure training is delivered across the project in a cost effective and efficient manner, whilst maintaining high standards. You will work with stakeholders to ensure training requirements are completed within agreed timescales, maintain an accurate project training matrix, and produce regular reports to support compliance.
Responsibilities- Onboard operatives and white coloured staff in a timely manner, ensuring competencies are uploaded and verified.

- Maintain accurate employee records in relevant systems.
- Monitor shared team mailboxes, respond to enquiries within service levels, and escalates issues as needed.
- Coordinate training bookings, manage training calendars, and produce compliance reports.
- Experienced in onboarding, training or HR coordination.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing high volumes of activity with the ability to prioritise.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Committed to delivering a high quality candidate and employee experience.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable as travel to site may be required on occasion.
BPSS security clearance will be required (to be undertaken as part of the onboarding process). We will undertake the relevant standard employment checks, including references, ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK.
