Our client is looking to recruit a Registered Manager based in their new 4-bed children's home in Slough. The company's key focus is centered around Therapeutic Support, Specialised Care Plans, and Skill Building Programmes.

Job Purpose
To lead and manage the children's home in line with the organisation's approach and ethos, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as outlined in the home's statement of purpose.
Service Description
Managing the residential home daily, ensuring compliance with all legislative and contractual requirements, including addressing the health and educational needs of young people. The Registered Manager holds overall responsibility for the home, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service that prioritises care, welfare, safety, and security, enabling children and young people to achieve a secure base. The role involves supporting, leading, and managing staff to protect and support children's psychological, emotional, and social development.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Education
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services; or equivalent; or a willingness to work towards it.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experience
- At least 2 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years, including a minimum of 1 year in a senior role.
- Supervision or management experience.
- Experience working with children, young people, and their families.
- Experience in a residential setting.
- Experience with inter-agency collaboration.
