Job Description

Chorley Together Primary Care Network are supporting Dr Dawoud's Surgery in their search for an organised and proactive Office Manager to support the smooth running of their busy GP Practice, based in Clayton-Le-Woods Chorley. Your employer will be Dr Dawoud's surgery.


The successful applicant will lead the administrative team, manage day to day operations of the practice and help ensure patients receive an excellent service.

Main duties of the job

As Office Manager you will



  • Oversee reception and administrative functions

  • Manage staff rotas, training, and performance

  • Maintain and improve practice systems and workflows

  • Support compliance with CQC and NHS standards

  • Handle patient communication and complaints

  • Liaise with clinicians and external partners

  • Manage supplies, equipment, and facilities

  • Assist with audits and reporting


About us

Dr Dawouds Surgery is a member of Chorley Together PCN and the newly formed local GP Federation, Chorley and South Ribble Primary Care Group


It is a semi rural practice located in Clayton- Le-Woods, Chorley, with a list size of approximately 3000 patients. The practice comprises 2 GP partners and 1 Salaried GP, a GP Assistant, along with a practice nursing and admin team.


The practice has good motorway links with easy access from the M6, M61 and M65. On site parking is available.


Job responsibilities

As our office manager you lead the adminstrative team and manage day to day operations at the practice. Your key responsibilities are:



  • Oversee reception and administrative functions

  • Manage staff rotas, training, and performance

  • Maintain and improve practice systems and workflows

  • Support compliance with CQC and NHS standards

  • Handle patient communication and complaints

  • Liaise with clinicians and external partners

  • Manage supplies, equipment, and facilities

  • Assist with audits and reporting


Person Specification
Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths


Experience

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills

  • Experience in office management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confident using administrative or clinical systems

  • Calm, professional, and solutions focused

  • Committed to confidentiality and high standards of care

  • Previous experience of using EMIS
