Job Description

Role Purpose

To manage high-risk individuals accommodated under government provisions, acting as a vital link between service users and statutory organisations responsible for risk management. The role provides assurance through effective escalation and collaboration rather than enforcement, supporting organisational objectives by promoting compliance, reducing reoffending, and progressing cases toward resolution.

To apply for this role, you must have recent experience managing high-risk offenders and a background in probation, policing, or a comparable risk management environment.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop management plans to mitigate offending behaviour and disrupt serious crime.
Act as the central liaison between service users and statutory partners, ensuring timely escalation and coordination of risk concerns.
Participate in multi-agency forums, representing the organisation and contributing to joint risk management strategies.
Deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions that address complex needs, including mental health, and promote rehabilitation and pro-social behaviour.
Maintain oversight of individuals subject to conditional release or supervision, ensuring compliance and ongoing case progression.
Regularly review and update risk management plans in response to behavioural changes or new intelligence.
Work independently and under pressure to manage a dynamic caseload, liaising closely with accommodation providers, caseworkers, and safeguarding teams to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.

Minimum Requirements:
Former probation or police staff with experience in comparable roles.
Recent, in-depth experience managing high-risk offenders, ideally within criminal justice or related settings.
Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and offender management frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-agency partnerships.
Proven experience in delivering tailored interventions and rehabilitation plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to handle sensitive and complex cases.
Ability to work independently, remotely, and under pressure.
High level of integrity and commitment to public service values.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals with mental health needs.
Familiarity with government systems and operational procedures.

If you consider yourself to have a disability or if you are a veteran, and you meet the essential criteria for the role, you will be put forward for the Guaranteed Interview' scheme whereby you will have the opportunity to discuss this role and your suitability with a member of the Sourcing team.
