OCCUPATIONAL Therapy Assistant

Occupational Therapy Assistant: Scale 5 per annum + Special school's allowance

Working hours: 36 hours per week, Term-time (39 weeks). Part-time hours and a Job share may be considered

Working pattern:

3 days 8:30am - 4:15pm 1 day 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday 8:30am - 3:45pm

Further salary information: Please note, the calculated salaries above are based on 36 hours per week, TTO 39 weeks and are subject to change upon the hours worked.

Location: Pinn River School, Ruislip

Eden Academy Trust

Each of the Seven SEN Schools in the Eden Academy Trust, specialise in meeting the educational needs of children and young people with a range of learning disabilities including those who are autistic, and those who have physical or sensory needs.

Occupational Therapy

We passionately believe that therapies, including occupational therapy, are a vital part of school life and help our pupils access their education. Our amazing team of occupational therapists help each pupil achieve as much independence as possible within their activities of daily living.

The Role

To support the occupational therapy team under the supervision and guidance of occupational therapists based across The Eden Academy Trust.

To deliver occupational therapy programmes and recommendations devised by an occupational therapist. To carry out functional skills in 1:1 and group sessions in the classroom, or therapy space under the guidance of an occupational therapist. To support the occupational therapist to deliver therapy interventions and documentation that support children's Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP's)

Successful candidates will be expected to undertake a manual handling course. Please refer to the job description for further information.

Regular supervision, guidance and CPD opportunities are available.
