Occupational Therapist (Maternity Cover)

Overview

This is a temporary Occupational Therapist role providing maternity cover at a rehabilitation service for men and women with enduring mental health issues in London. The role involves facilitating a flexible programme of OT groups and individual interventions, planning and implementing therapeutic activities, evaluating outcomes, and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating a flexible programme of OT groups and individual interventions.
• Planning and implementing therapeutic activities and interventions.
• Evaluating outcomes aligned to service users' care plans.
• Supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Qualifications

• Current HPC registration and full BOAT membership with evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• Knowledge and use of a range of OT assessments and outcome measures.
• Experience of working within a similar setting.
• BSc (Hons) or equivalent occupational therapy qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.

Location

Location: 84-86 Bromley Road, Catford, London, SE6 2UR. The service is Bromley Road, a rehabilitation service for men and women with enduring mental health issues, complex needs and complicated addiction problems. We accept service users who have a forensic history and those who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, amended 2007.
