We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team. You'll work closely with our Deputy Headteacher: Inclusion, Ethos and Engagement, alongside speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, teachers and support staff, to support our pupils with complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties. We are looking for a highly motivated therapist who:
Is registered with HCPC and holds an enhanced DBS.
Has at least 2 years' experience as a paediatric OT in a specialist setting.
Can demonstrate expertise in assessing and supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with autism and complex physical needs.
Is confident using standardised and informal assessment tools.
Has excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills.
Is passionate about inclusive education and collaborative multi-disciplinary working.
Keeps up to date with CPD and complies with GDPR, HCPC and RCOT regulations.
Use your advanced clinical knowledge to assess, plan, and deliver specialist occupational therapy programmes for individuals, small groups and whole classes.
Support pupils with a wide range of needs, using both formal and informal assessment tools to guide intervention and set achievable goals.
Work in close collaboration with class teams, offering practical strategies and adaptations to support pupils' independence and learning.
Train and advise staff, contributing to a whole-school approach to therapeutic support.
Attend and contribute to EHCP reviews and liaise effectively with parents, providing reports, feedback and advice.
Keep up-to-date records and contribute to pupils' annual reports.
