TheOccupational Hygienist is responsible for leading efforts to recognize,evaluate and control chemical, physical and biological hazards on client sitesthroughout Ireland.

Thecandidate will ensure compliance with company policies and nationaloccupational health and safety regulations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Undertake monitoring and interpret sampling results
• Develop and implement exposure monitoring and sampling plans thatensure compliance with current codes of practice and legislation
• Collaborate with operational areas to develop control measures forareas such as change in work procedures, ventilation systems, materialsubstitution and evaluation of personal protective equipment
• Complete chemical agents risk assessments
• Evaluate and assess the correctness of Personal Protective in use
• Develop and administer occupational safety and health training asrequired

Requirements Qualifications

• A third level qualification in related field (Occupational Safety,Industrial Hygiene) or equivalent combination of education and experiencepreferred 3-5 years' experience of progressive safety and trainingexperience
• Certificate of Operational Competence or Diploma in Occupationalhygiene or equivalent

Experience and Abilities

• Experience working in highly regulated areas
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and influence positive outcomes
• Ability to train personnel preferrable
• Strong analytical skills including root cause/failure analysismethodology
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong planning and organisational skills, ability to prioritise,maintain attention to detail and complete work to planned timelines
