Job overviewAn opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMBT) as an Occupational Health Senior Administrator; the post is permanent 22.5 Hours, primarily based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
The post holders will be working and supporting an experienced administrative team and will have shared responsibility for ensuring professional admin support is given to allow the continuation of services provided by the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service.
Working with the service Business Manager, the post holder will provide regular accurate updates of data to demonstrate departmental activity/trends in line with service demands to ensure agreed KPI's are met.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will help support the day-to-day management of the office and the development, implementation and maintenance of office practices and procedures.
Key Responsibility will be to help support the Business and systems manager in maintaining the administration service to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust
Will support and deputise in supervision of other OH administration staff on a day to day basis across all three sites.

Working for our organisationWe operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.

Person specification Education and Qualifications- A-level or equivalent acquired through experience
- Evidence of continuing personal / professional development
- NVQ in business administration or recognise qualification in Computer science or relevant experience
- Experience of undertaking a range of standard Administrative duties; i.e. Diary management, Dealing with correspondence, Appointment booking
- Prioritisation skills and the ability to manage and work within tight resources and timescales
- Analytical skills including managing activity, projects and business information
- Evidence of successful working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Evidence of managing workload and ability to prioritise
- Experience of working in a health care environment
- Experience of using a Patient Database
- Experience of working with medical data
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, using both written and verbal means.
- Working knowledge and experience of MS Office products, including, word, excel, outlook and sharepoint
- Ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to cope with difficult situations and pressure.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and organising the distribution of work within the team
