About the role

As NUW Player Performance & Lifestyle Lead, you will lead the design, coordination and delivery of a Performance Lifestyle and Player Liaison programme that supports Newcastle United Women players in maximising performance through holistic development, wellbeing and off-pitch stability. Acting as the central point of contact for players, the role provides guidance, support and signposting across lifestyle, wellbeing and off-field matters, while empowering players to develop independence, resilience and long-term success.

What you'll do
  • Develop and deliver a Performance Lifestyle strategy aligned with Newcastle United Women's performance objectives and player development pathway.
  • Lead the design, delivery and integration of a holistic Performance Lifestyle and Player Liaison programme across the Women's programme.
  • Design and deliver a structured player development curriculum covering personal development, life skills, dual-career planning and financial education.
  • Act as the primary and accessible point of contact for players, providing guidance and appropriate signposting across personal and professional matters.
  • Provide individual lifestyle support to First Team players including education pathways, financial awareness, personal development and life management.
  • Support players through key transition periods including onboarding, Academy-to-First Team progression, injury and rehabilitation, and player exits.
  • Manage onboarding for new player signings including visa support, relocation and cultural adaptation.
  • Work collaboratively within the MDT, embedding lifestyle and wellbeing considerations into performance planning and decision making.
  • Contribute to the Club's SafeSport, Wellbeing and Player Development strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and professional records of player interactions and support plans.
  • Role model professional standards, behaviours and club values at all times.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties.
The team

You will be part of the Performance & Operational Team and Wellbeing IDT, working closely with coaching, medical, psychology, safeguarding, welfare and football operations colleagues to deliver a proactive, joined up approach to player support and development.
