Nursing Team Lead - Outpatients

The role of the Outpatient Lead Nurse is to provide leadership along with operational oversight for nursing services within the outpatient department. You will ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-focused care while leading, with the support of the Outpatient Manager you will be assisting in developing the outpatient nursing team. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
Main duties- Lead and support the Outpatient nursing team, promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Outpatient Manager in coordinating staffing levels and clinic schedules to ensure safe and effective service provision.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, supporting the Outpatient Manager with appraisals, training, and professional growth.
- Provide clinical support and, where required, deliver direct patient care.
- Ensure high standards of patient assessment, treatment, and health education.
- Promote adherence to best practice, policies, and clinical guidelines.
- Act as a role model, upholding professional standards and patient dignity.

- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong teaching skills
