Nursery Manager

Overview

South of Maidstone, our clients are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of this large and established Nursery, together with ensuring the teams in the rooms are delivering the highest possible early years education. This is a 40-hour week role with a salary up to £40k depending on experience, plus benefits including a joining bonus and 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, with additional days over the Christmas break.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery and ensure rooms deliver high-quality early years education.
• Lead and manage nursery teams, drive improvements in learning outcomes, and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for children.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and statutory requirements; prepare for and support Ofsted inspections as needed.
• Manage occupancy, budgets, and operational planning to meet targets and ensure high standards of care and learning.

Requirements

• Essential for the Nursery Manager Role Level 3 or above Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant); Minimum 4 years' experience in early years, including 2 years' in a management or team-leading role; Experience leading or supporting Ofsted inspections; Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices; Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets; Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
