Nursery Manager / Nursery Assistant - Edenbridge

Full-Time Monday-Friday Competitive Salary Supportive Team

Are you passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment for children?This small and welcoming nursery in Edenbridge is looking to welcome either a Nursery Manager or a Nursery Assistant to the friendly team.

We pride ourselves on being a warm, community-focused setting, and we're searching for someone dedicated, confident, and enthusiastic about providing the very best start in life for young children.

What We're Looking For

  • Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification
  • Must be happy to work full time, Monday to Friday
  • A positive, supportive attitude and willingness to help create a fun, safe environment
  • DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Nursery Manager applicants must be confident leading and supporting a small team

Nursery Manager - Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the nursery team to ensure a high standard of care and education
  • Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring policies and safeguarding procedures are always followed
  • Create and maintain a positive, nurturing atmosphere for children, parents, and staff
  • Complete staff rotas, maintain records, and ensure compliance with EYFS standards
  • Build strong relationships with families and communicate effectively with parents
  • Support children's learning and development through engaging activities and play
  • Monitor health & safety, conduct risk assessments, and maintain a safe environment
  • Oversee planning, observations, and children's progress tracking
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the nursery team

Nursery Assistant - Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support the room leader and wider nursery team to deliver high-quality care
  • Engage with children through fun, stimulating activities that support learning and development
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and caring environment at all times
  • Assist with daily routines including meals, nappy changes, and outdoor play
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Follow EYFS guidance and contribute to observations and planning
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create an encouraging and welcoming setting
