Nursery Manager - Independent Prep School

Salary: £45,000-£50,000
Location: Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP

A prestigious independent prep school is seeking a creative, forward thinking Nursery Manager to lead its thriving, well resourced nursery. The Role

You'll provide strong, visible leadership and ensure the nursery delivers outstanding care, learning, and safeguarding every day. This role offers real autonomy to innovate, elevate practice, and influence long term development.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated nursery team
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, ratios, and safer recruitment
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and statutory guidance
  • Drive high quality teaching, learning, and care across all rooms
  • Support children's development, wellbeing, and early intervention
  • Manage operational and financial performance
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Represent the nursery at open days, tours, and marketing events
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school and contribute to strategic growth

You're an experienced early years leader with a warm, confident presence and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes. You bring:
