Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic, experienced Nursery Room Leader. The person we are looking for should be able to lead and coordinate groups of people well. This person should also be able to plan meaningful and fun age appropriate activities for children. The role will be to help ensure all children receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with stimulating play experiences, which meet their individual needs within the rooms.

  • A strong leader, with Room Leader experience
  • Solution focused & and committed to improve where possible
  • Strong Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and developmental tracking
  • Excellent spoken and written English as well as a strong communicator
  • Reliable, honest and a person who conducts themselves with integrity
  • Relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3
  • Fun with a sense of humor
  • A desire to progress within the Early Years sector
  • Modelling and implementing the highest standards of Early Education practice at all times
  • Facilitating a creative and innovative range of play and learning experiences, making full use of indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Carrying out key-person related responsibilities and building relationships with a small group of children and their families
  • Ensuring the safety and well being of all children in your care resulting in total avoidance of preventable accidents and promoting a feeling of security and satisfaction amongst all parents.
  • Ensuring that planning for the individual needs of each child is maintained to a high standard
  • Ensuring that the nursery remains clean and safe for all children and early years team
  • Understanding and implementing the nursery's policies and procedures
  • Participating in professional development and training
  • Providing high quality care and activities for children
  • Working a flexible shift pattern within the nursery opening hours
  • Preparing and serving food for snack time and drinks for children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating
