Job Description
- Supporting Nursery and Deputy managers to ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with local authority and Goodwin procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality of information obtained regarding children, families and other staff, which is learned as part of the job role.
- Writing appropriate menu's, with support from the nursery team, parents and children, that are appealing to children ensuring a healthy nutritional balanced multi-cultural diet.
- Having an understanding of different dietary requirements for children aged 6 months to 5 years and to alter menus accordingly.
- Having an awareness of allergies and dietary needs or be willing to train towards this.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy kitchen environment in accordance with Environmental health and legislation.
- Maintaining accurate records regarding temperature controls etc.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety Policies and procedures are followed on a daily basis and are in line with Environmental Health guidelines.
