Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK's leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs work with our customers and have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

To support further growth, we have a unique opportunity to join our New Product Development (NPD) team as an NPD Technologist.

As an NPD Technologist at Pro-Pak Foods, you will gain a wide range of experience, so we're searching for someone with a can do attitude and factory experience.

The role will include:

• Involvement in recipe development, product sign off and product scale up
• Using internal recipe management systems to create recipes in line with customer briefs
• Working closely with the NPD team to ensure strict deadlines are adhered to prior to launch
• Ensuring customer samples and paperwork are delivered on time
• Preparing customer presentations and attending meetings
• Using market research to monitor market developments
• Responsible for both individual projects and supporting the team's projects
• Focusing on both existing product development and all stages of new product development
• Supporting the NPD Chef and the NPD Manager in customer presentations
• Work with and alongside multiple departments to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Skills & Experience required:

• The right candidate must have a degree within a food related discipline
• Ideally have experience within the industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, positive and can do approach
• Effective problem solving skills

• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays with an option to buy up to 5 extra days
• Core hours Monday - Friday (8am-5pm) Part-time will be considered
