Quanex requires an NPD Procurement Specialist who will act as the key focal point for the procurement department as part of New Product Development (NPD) projects.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead, as the operational Procurement representative, the selection, evaluation and qualification of suppliers for new components and finished products. This includes RFQ issuance and analysis-evaluating both economic competitiveness and supply chain solidity and sustainability-as well as supporting make or buy analyses and onboarding new suppliers in alignment with the corporate policies.
• Monitor NPD milestones and requirements, tracking progress against quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Develops structured action plans to resolve projects or process bottlenecks and criticalities linked to the Procurement processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Procurement Commodity Buyers to align operational activities with global sourcing strategies.
• Lead supplier negotiations under the guidance and supervision of the Procurement Leader and the Buyer.
• Coordinate activities between the Engineering team and suppliers involved in product development projects, with the aim of clearly defining technical requirements, performance and final validation of components.

Key Skills

• Bachelor's Degree is desirable in engineering, procurement or a business-related discipline.
• Proven experience of procurement experience, with previous experience in project execution.
• CIPS accredited
• Working in a multinational environment with a global supply base.
