About the role:

At InPost, we are looking for an exceptional Nights Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our parcel sortation operations. As a key member of the team, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize mechanical sortation processes, and lead a talented team towards outstanding results.

Location: Unit 1 Watkins Close, Burnt Mills Industrial Estate, Basildon, Essex, SS13 1TL
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Hours: 22:00 - 10:00
Salary: £34,000 per annum
What you'll be doing:
- Leading Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring seamless execution across all activities and departments.
- Driving High Performance: Develop strategies to improve performance, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
- Mastering Warehouse Flow: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels.
- Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and motivate the warehouse team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to SOPs for operational consistency, efficiency, and quality.
- Prioritizing Safety: Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Managing the OLA Shift: Oversee all aspects of the shift to ensure productivity.
- Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee driver pre- and de-briefings for clear communication.
- Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Upholding Company Standards: Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Weekend Engagement: Participate in weekend conference calls for operational updates and strategic discussions.
What we need from you:
- Proven Leadership: Experience in a supervisory role within logistics or parcel sortation, familiar with automated systems.
- Operational Expertise: Strong background in warehouse flow management and process optimization.
- Inspirational Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with warehouse management systems and relevant technology.
