Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help deliver excellent service to customers and support the smooth operation of the store. Your role includes shop keeping tasks, stock management, and assisting with online and click and collect orders, all while upholding the Waitrose brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfil online customer orders for delivery.
• Reduce waste by following product due diligence and applying markdowns to items nearing sell by dates.
• Support the wider shop team as needed, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, and handling on demand customer orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop keeping tasks.

Essential skills/experience you'll need

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Up to date knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch.

Hours and Pay

Pay: £13.00 (£13.25 after 90 days). Night Premium of £3.75 per hour applies to hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Temporary, part time role of 27 hours per week, working evenings from 21:00 to 07:00 across various evenings including weekends.
