Night Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a category A Prison located in Littleton.

Hours

37.5 hours per week - 12.5 hour night shifts from 19:30 to 08:00.

Salary

Annual salary between £34,428 and £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
• Attend emergency response situations and will be trained to an Immediate Life Support (ILS) standard.
• Deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi disciplinary team.
• Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Deliver non judgemental care that makes a real difference.
• Complete all the Night Duties Tasks as detailed in the Task Booklet.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Adult Nurse / HCPC Paramedic qualification.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Understanding of the complexities of multi disciplinary and multi agency working.
• A non judgemental and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards.
