Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our South London team at Thames Water as a Night Network Service Technician.
This is an exciting and varied customer-facing role where, day to day, you will be resolving customer network challenges to ensure minimal disruption to customer supply. You will be meeting and helping different people every day, working on a variety of projects ensuring that the best service is given to our customers.
What you will be doing as a Night Network Service Technician
Working Pattern: Night Shifts (Monday-Sunday) 20:00-06:30, however, you
will be required to work day shifts (Monday-Friday) for the training period of 6 months.

What you will be doing as a Night Network Service Technician
- Taking personal ownership of customer queries and responding to and resolving issues at their homes or places of work.
- Collaborating with contractors to do planned and unplanned work and investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance, including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries and loss of supply out in the field.
- You will also help control burst mains, ensuring isolation to facilitate planned work, emergency repairs and maintenance.
- Looking after valve operations, water sampling and valve checks and planning.
- As the role involves driving daily, the ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive between jobs.

What you should bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you'll need are:
- Previous experience in a similar role or utilities-based environment.
- Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so previous customer service experience within a constantly changing environment is essential.
- Have excellent customer service experience.
- Have a can-do and positive attitude.
- Be initiative-taking.
- Be assured of completing tasks to the best of your ability.
- Have excellent time management.
- Have a solution-focused attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence Required.
- Having a basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains and leakage would be advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided.
- Offering a starting salary from £31,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- This role also comes with a van PPE a fuel card.
- Annual Leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
- Performance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.

- Generous Paternity Leave, including 4 weeks paid and an optional 2 weeks unpaid.
