Night Manager

Night Manager - Ellesmere Port - Full time Permanent Night Shift - 45 hours per week. Competitive salary plus benefits. Closing date 26 July 2026.

As our Night Manager, you will manage and lead the night team to keep everything running whilst the rest of the world sleeps, ensuring we are delivering the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments, while keeping our store safe and compliant for customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

You will work a rolling rota of four nights over seven, including weekend work, and be solely responsible for the store through the night, overseeing the entire operation where the store is open 24 hours.

Your Qualities

• Drive strategy into action: planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift, ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly to minimise damage.
• Lead with impact: coaching night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards and create a culture of selling our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and getting one more item in every basket.
• Execution focused: ensuring the shopfloor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team with promotion, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
• Talent development: listening with empathy, driving resilience and encouraging ownership, focus and passion, supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated to step up.

What you'll bring

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands on attitude and drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
