Job Description
NICVA - Policy Officer (Digital Communities) Details

Closing Date: 05/05/2026

Organisation: NICVA

Looking for a role where you can help shape how evidence is used to improve services, influence policy, and support communities across Northern Ireland and Ireland?

NICVA is a partner in Digital Communities, a cross-border programme led by The Wheel and supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project brings together organisations across Northern Ireland and Ireland to build digital capacity in rural and marginalised communities, while developing better approaches to data, monitoring and evaluation.

Digital Communities focuses on improving access to digital technology and strengthening the availability of consistent, meaningful data to support service planning and policy development.

To support delivery of this programme, we are recruiting for a Policy Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning). This role will work closely with partners across the project to support the development of shared data systems, contribute to analysis and reporting, and help ensure that learning from the programme is captured and used effectively.

The Policy Officer will play a key role in supporting how data and learning are developed and used across the Digital Communities partnership. Working with the Project Manager, colleagues and partner organisations, you will contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes, support data collection and analysis, and help translate findings into clear, useful outputs.

The role includes supporting shared approaches to data across partners, contributing to reports and briefings, and helping ensure that evidence from the project informs both delivery and wider policy discussions.

This role would suit someone with experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, or policy-related work, who can analyse information, communicate it clearly, and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
