Responsibilities

• Assess and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing impairments within acute and critical care settings.
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them understand impairments and treatment processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines.
• Work independently to manage your caseload, ensuring all patients receive the attention and care they need.

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Recent post-qualification experience in a UK/NHS setting as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Proficiency in independently managing a caseload of adult patients with communication and swallowing issues.
• Desirable competencies include experience with tracheostomy, VFS, and FEES.
