Step up to the role of News Editor for Connacht Tribune, Galway City Tribune, and Galway Live - Ireland's biggest local digital and newspaper publisher.

Responsibilities

• Set the editorial vision and lead the newsroom.
• Recruit, coach, and develop staff to foster a positive, ambitious newsroom culture.
• Develop bold strategies, maintain the highest standards, encourage innovation, manage extensive resources and budgets.
• Uphold a strong, trusted presence at the heart of the Galway community.
• Manage both print and digital operations, including SEO, analytics, and social media strategy.

Qualifications

• A strong track record in a newsroom, with significant leadership or senior editorial experience.
• An obvious gift for communication, decision making, and organisation.
• A proven ability to manage both print and digital operations and to use digital publishing tools.
• In depth knowledge and appreciation of the Galway region, its government structures, and local community concerns.
