PO1 - £38, months fixed term Full time Location: Richmond and Wandsworth Other essential information: £2,000 salary increase on successful completion of your probation / ASYE period. £3,000 retention bonus (every 2 years of service)

Objective of the role

Would you like the opportunity to begin your social work career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment that actively invests in your development?

You will join Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Care as part of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme, where you will develop your skills, confidence and professional practice.

You will work within a collaborative social work team, supporting adults to maximise independence, wellbeing and choice, while gaining valuable experience across a range of adult social care functions.

Throughout your ASYE year, you will receive structured support, reflective supervision, and access to high-quality training to help you progress into a confident and capable social worker.

About the role

Key aspects of the role include:

Undertaking Care Act assessments to identify needs, strengths and risksDeveloping and reviewing support plans that are person-centred and outcome-focusedApplying the Mental Capacity Act, including capacity assessments and best interest decision-makingSupporting and responding to safeguarding concerns to protect adults at riskWorking in partnership with residents, carers and professionals to deliver holistic supportEmbedding reflective practice through regular supervision and learning opportunitiesDemonstrating a commitment to continued professional development (CPD)throughout the ASYE programmeApplying social work values, legislation and guidance in practiceDeveloping confidence in decision-making in both routine and complex situationsContributing to a collaborative and supportive team environmentWhat we offer
