Network Security Engineer, Symantec Proxy S410, SWG, Cloud Proxy, ASAP, £Good

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Symantec Proxy (S410-20B) to join a leading financial services client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing on-premise Symantec S410-20B Proxy solutions while assessing and implementing any associated cloud Proxy components to ensure seamless user management for both office-based and remote users.

The Role:

• Configure, deploy, and manage Symantec Proxy S410-20B for on-premises environments.
• Evaluate and integrate cloud Proxy components to manage remote/home-based users effectively.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and efficient Proxy operations.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain Proxy configurations for high performance and reliability.
• Provide expert guidance on Proxy architecture, security policies, and user traffic management.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Symantec Proxy solutions, including hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments.

The Person:

• Strong hands-on experience with Symantec Proxy (Blue Coat) technologies, especially S410-20B
• Familiarity with cloud Proxy integrations and hybrid environments.
• Solid background in network security, Proxy configuration, and policy management
• Proven ability to work across both on-prem and remote user environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex enterprise networks.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
