Network Manager required to lead and evolve enterprise network services across a complex global estate in Glasgow. This is an opportunity to shape network strategy, drive transformation, and lead a high performing technical team within a progressive, cloud first organisation.
The Company
This is a leading global organisation with a strong focus on innovation, digital transformation, and service excellence. With significant investment in its technology landscape, including SD WAN, cloud networking, and next generation security architecture, the business continues to modernise and optimise its IT operations.
You'll be joining a firm where technology plays a key role in enabling business performance, resilience, and growth. The IT landscape is evolving rapidly, and the organisation is committed to delivering robust, secure, and scalable network services across its international footprint.
The Role
As Network Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership, design governance, and performance of the firm's network services across all global sites.
You'll lead a skilled team of network engineers while maintaining technical authority over key decisions related to SD WAN, LAN, WAN performance, cloud connectivity, and security integration. You'll also work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross functional teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure network infrastructure.
This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise networks, the ability to manage and influence third party providers, and a commitment to delivering high performing services in a fast paced global environment.
You'll play a central role in shaping the next phase of the firm's infrastructure strategy ensuring the network estate supports a modern, cloud driven business model while maintaining world class performance and availability.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for managing and evolving a global network environment, with particular focus on SD WAN design and deployment, SASE integration, and cloud networking strategy. You'll take ownership of vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs are met and services are continually optimised for performance, resilience, and cost effectiveness.
You'll lead the global network team, providing coaching and direction while ensuring consistent operations across regions and time zones.
You'll drive network improvement initiatives, ensure robust documentation and change control processes, and play a key role in strategic technology projects.
Your day to day responsibilities will blend team leadership, service assurance, vendor governance, and architectural oversight, all with a strong emphasis on networking excellence.
What We're Looking For
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies particularly Cisco, SD WAN, LAN WAN, and cloud networking
Proven experience leading network teams within large scale, global enterprise environments
Strong vendor management skills, with experience negotiating SLAs and managing performance
Track record of implementing or migrating to SD WAN solutions in a distributed setting (HPE SD WAN experience preferred)
Exposure to SASE, ZTNA, and cloud security platforms would be a bonus
Experience working across both on prem and cloud based infrastructure environments
Broad understanding of firewalls and MPLS VPN technologies
Skilled at translating technical issues into meaningful insight for non technical stakeholders
A collaborative approach, able to work effectively across infrastructure, cloud, security, and service delivery functions
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) would be beneficial
The Offer
You'll receive a very competitive salary and benefits package, hybrid working (typically 3 days in a modern city centre office), and the opportunity to lead a business critical domain within a forward thinking global business.
If you're passionate about networks and looking for a strategic leadership role that still keeps you close to the technology, this is a rare opportunity to make a real impact in a global firm committed to innovation and operational excellence.
