Network Engineer - Job Description

We are supporting our Edinburgh based client with the new ask for a Network Engineer. This will be to join their dedicated Engineering function within the business. The ask itself is for an individual with 3-5 years worth of experience within enterprise level environments (500+ users) to join on a contract to permanent basis with the targeted starting salary of up to £45k per annum + generous pension contribution.

You will be responsible for supporting the Cisco Network and Checkpoint Firewall estate from a BAU and project perspective. Thus, experience in supporting large scale environments from a L2/L3 engineering and troubleshooting perceptive would be massively beneficial.

Top Skills

• 3-5+ years industry experience within Cisco Networking
• experience working with Firewalls such as CheckPoint or Fortinet
• Awareness of F5 Load balancing is a nice to have, not essential
• Cisco certification track would be advantageous, such as CCNA or CCNP

The role will also require 2-3 days per week in the City of Edinburgh office so candidates must be within a commutable distance in order to be successful in progressing.
