Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to support and maintain a large-scale IT network infrastructure, with a focus on Firewall, routing, Wi-Fi, and security systems. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering secure, stable, and innovative network solutions.You'll play a key role in supporting WAN and LAN services, IP address management, network access control, and cloud telephony.

What you'll need to succeed

• SC Clearance
• Support and maintain WAN, LAN, routing, Wi-Fi, Firewall, IPAM, network access control, and cloud telephony services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems meet evolving needs.
• Lead and contribute to network-related projects and service transitions.
• Perform complex installations and configurations with autonomy.
• Plan, install, and test voice and data network connections.
• Produce high-quality documentation for system maintenance.
• Liaise with Estates and other departments on infrastructure requirements.
• 5+ years of experience managing Fortinet Firewalls.
• 5+ years of experience with Extreme Cloud IQ Wi-Fi or equivalent, and Clearpass or similar NAC systems.
• 5+ years of experience in WAN/LAN routing using OSPF and BGP.
• IPv6 implementation and support.
• Layer 2/3 switch configuration and associated services (DNS, DHCP).
• IP Address Management using Infoblox or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
