Network Access Consultant - Cisco Gold Partner

Join a leading Cisco Gold Partner for a 6-month contract in Manchester or Buckinghamshire. Design, implement, and manage network access solutions, focusing on GPON/XGSPON, OLT equipment, and network reliability. Ensure Telecom Security Act compliance and use automation tools like Ansible and Python.

Contract Details:

• Location: Manchester/Buckinghamshire - 2/3 days a week
• Contract Type: 6 Month Contract (Long term program)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Day Rate: £430PD - £470PD
• Determination: Outside IR35

Responsibilities:

• Network Access Design and Implementation: Design and implement network access solutions that meet client specifications.
• Operations Management: Oversee network access operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• CPE Management: Work with layer 2 and layer 3 gigabit customer premises equipment (CPE) to ensure efficient operation and customer satisfaction.
• Automation: Utilize automation tools, particularly Ansible and Python, to streamline network processes and increase efficiency.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure as code to support scalable and maintainable network environments.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of GPON/XGSPON, including understanding of co-exist elements and PON domain impairments.
• OLT Equipment Proficiency: Experience with Juniper and Nokia OLT equipment.
• Access Network Service Improvement Experience: Proven ability to develop and implement strategies for enhancing access network services.
• Gigabit CPE Knowledge: Proficiency in working with layer 2 and layer 3 gigabit customer premises equipment (CPE).
• Experience in implementing and managing infrastructure as code.
