Job Description
Overview

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, and inspirational Coach for the College's two Women's Netball Teams. The successful applicant will be required to develop the skills and abilities of the female students ( years) in netball and train and coach them for competitive matches.

Responsibilities
  • Train and coach the two women's netball teams during core hours (12.30 pm - 3.30 pm) on Wednesdays, with additional coaching as required by fixtures and training schedules.
  • Work term time only, during the 12 week Autumn and Spring terms when College team sports take place.
  • Demand commitment and flexibility to accommodate fixture, training, and weather conditions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 2 England Netball coaching qualification.
  • Public liability insurance to the value of £5 that covers you specifically for Netball.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive a minibus to away fixtures (training can be given).
  • Previous experience of working with teenagers is desirable but not essential.
  • Preferably, a current Enhanced DBS Check and, if available, subscription to the annual Update Service.
Pay

Rate of pay for invoice: £27.00 per hour.

Terms of Employment

Post available from September 2026. Core hours: 12.30 pm - 3.30 pm on Wednesdays. Post holder will be self employed and will invoice the College for time.

Department

The College runs an active sports provision including competitive teams in basketball (Men's 4 Teams), football (Women's), rugby (Men's), and rugby (Women's). The Women's Netball Team is well established, with two outdoor and one indoor court on site.
