About the Role

At Sandwell Council we are excited to deliver our new Neighbourhood Working Model where we will focus on the issues and challenges faced within the Borough at a local neighbourhood level. You will be leading on exciting and informative local events, consultations and the promotion of community led activities across Sandwell.

You will support residents, Elected Members, local organisations and businesses to identify local priorities and agree actions that will address the issues that affect people's quality of life, environment and health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include providing a visible, hands on presence and acting as a vital point of contact for local businesses, local residents and the wider community to support their involvement in community ownership and promote local priorities; working closely with the Ward Co ordinator to support ward based action plans and engagement; being prepared to work outside in all weather conditions, including some evening and weekend work; and playing a crucial part in problem solving for residents, shaping projects, and improving life in Sandwell.
