Due to delivery restructure, we are seeking 6 additional Neighbourhood Officers to join our Housing Services team at SCH to deliver a high-quality, responsive, and solutions focused tenancy management and ASB service across our communities.
This is a key role in our Housing Services team that will manage a portfolio of cases across tenancy management, anti-social behaviour and resident services, ensuring that legal and regulatory obligations are met and customers receive a responsive, empathetic and solutions focused service.
We are looking for someone proactive, who has a good understanding of social housing legislation and the ASB Crime and Policing Act, who has experience of managing a varied workload, and offers a strong commitment to delivering an excellent housing management service.
The job is demanding and exciting, offering the opportunity to make a real contribution to the local community.
If you are confident in handling complex, sensitive and high-risk situations, enjoy developing partnerships with other agencies, and can problem solve to produce positive outcomes for residents, this may be the opportunity for you.
Frequent travel across the Borough is an essential requirement of the role. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential.
In return, SCH offers excellent staff benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. The opportunity to purchase up to 10 additional days holiday per year. A generous flexitime scheme (available for most roles) with up to 2 days flexitime allowed per 8-week period. Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.
Solihull Community Housing has a responsibility for, and is committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
