Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Lead Operator to support the day-to-day operation of the National Security Operations Room (NSOR) within a high profile corporate environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced Security Officer looking to take the next step in their career.

You will play a key role in delivering monitoring, communications, and incident response functions, while helping maintain operational resilience, situational awareness, and service excellence.

Reporting to the NSOR Supervisor, you will support the delivery of critical CCTV monitoring, communications, incident management, and security operations.

Shift Pattern: 4 Days, 4 Off, 4 Nights, 4 Off (12-hour shifts, averaging 42 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems and security platforms, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Respond to and manage incidents in line with procedures, including security, safety, and business continuity events.
  • Ensure all alarms, incidents, and service requests are assessed and responded to appropriately.
  • Maintain awareness of the current security threat environment, geopolitical developments, protest activity, travel-related risks, and emerging threats, ensuring relevant information is identified, assessed, and escalated where appropriate.
  • Act as an operational escalation point for incidents.
  • Produce operational reports, including travel disruption and situational awareness updates.
  • Monitor VIP and business-critical travel activity, including flight tracking and welfare monitoring when required.
  • Liaise with security teams, sites, contractors, and emergency services to support incident resolution and operational continuity.
  • Monitor lone worker and emergency notification systems, responding to activations in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, incident reports, and handovers.
  • Conduct routine system checks and report faults or performance issues.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience operating CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and security management systems.
  • Experience managing incidents and escalations.
  • Strong awareness of current security threats.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations.
Desirable
  • CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) qualification.
  • Experience working within a large-scale or multi-site corporate environment.
  • Experience in travel security monitoring, situational awareness reporting, or intelligence-led security operations.
