About the roleThe On Trade wholesale team mission is to be the most trusted & respected commercial team creating the conditions for consumers to have great experiences with Diageo brands in the On Trade.
Role ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities & Outcomes:
- Invest Smartly:
- Managing internal & external performance reporting across the portfolio and support the National Account Manager with accurate forecasting
- Analysing promotional strategies and deriving insights from the data to determine future activity
- Leading the delivery of our cash performance objectives through analysis and audit of customer investment claims and communication with our credit control team
- Triple Win Partnerships:
- Inspire wholesale customers to partner with Diageo at a local level for mutual benefit
- Understand the customer, how they work and what success looks like for them. Use this to build differentiated, customer-specific plans.
- Partnering with customer marketing to deliver against the activation plans within the customer and interpreting the return on investment associated with the execution; ensuring we continue to optimise our A&P investment
- Easier to Get Things Done
- Ensure Diageo F&T and DLC teams have all information needed to implement brilliantly in outlet
- Manage performance of joint business plans through a simple scorecard
- Share standard methodology and celebrate success across the On Trade team
- Business Performance Management: Determining the account level best view forecast submission in partnership with National Accounts Managers
- Customer Value chain management: Determining the best opportunities to manage cost and maximise value at an account level
- Resolution and closure of all customer claims and disputes
- Accurate and timely approval of rebates, invoice claims and deductions
- Activation Investment: align on activation plan, prepare pre & post M&E and agree activity with customer - in partnership with National Account Managers
- Generate ideas grounded in a deep understanding of customer requirements and manage them through to successful execution. Evaluate the impact of your activity plans to drive better results and incremental value.
- Build and sustain trust and openness with others through strong internal and external relationships. Exhibit energy, drive and passion to achieve your mutually agreed objectives. Seek to understand how the customer operates and works, to develop plans to realise these opportunities.
- Use your customer and industry understanding to go beyond the day job and unlock opportunities for future growth. Write the plan on how to win and then move to execution.
