NAC Engineer (SME)

Based in Southampton office 3 days per week, Regular Travel Overseas 1-2 weeks at a time.

We are seeking a NAC SME to provides specialist expertise to drive a major NAC rollout across overseas and shore environments, acting as the technical lead to ensure successful and timely delivery. It focuses on designing, deploying, and operating Cisco ISE & Aruba ClearPass, handling configuration, integration, testing, and complex troubleshooting, and serving as the main escalation point. The role is also responsible for identifying risks, working closely with internal teams and vendors, and mentoring engineers.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience delivering enterprise NAC solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba ClearPass.
• Understanding of 802.1X, MAB, RADIUS, EAP, certificate-based authentication.
• Experience with guest/BYOD workflows and posture assessment.
• Ability to integrate NAC with wired/wireless networks, Firewalls, identity platforms.

Desirable Skills

• Wireless technologies (Aruba/Cisco).
• LAN/WAN (Cisco switching/routing).
• Experience with security platforms (eg, Palo Alto).
• Network automation/NetDevOps practices.
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Aruba ACA/ACSA/ACP, NAC-specific certs.
