Overview

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce the introduction of these new roles aimed at doctors who are passionate about their practice and their career outside traditional models. Our posts will combine education and career development with practical patient-facing care.

Main duties

These posts will be part of our cross-site trainee rota, which is compliant with working time regulations and the 2016 junior doctors contract, averaging 48 hours per week. Acute care at Mid-Yorkshire is now focussed primarily on our Pinderfields Hospital site although all our doctors are involved in delivering care to patients on all our sites, with support and supervision from senior colleagues. The main duties of the post will include:

  • Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients presenting to the ED.
  • Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate
  • Involvement in relevant administration duties
  • Opportunities for active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities
  • Working across both Dewsbury and Pinderfields sites

About the role

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is excited to offer a 12-month opportunity for a Trust Doctor (FY2 Equivalent) to join our team in Emergency Medicine. This role combines hands-on service delivery with dedicated educational development within the specialty.

These posts will be part of our cross-site trainee rota, which is compliant with working time regulations and the 2016 junior doctors contract, averaging 48 hours per week.

  • Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
  • Medical Degree from recognised medical school
  • Pre-registration/foundation training or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Demonstrates intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving.
