Role: Teacher of Music

Academy: Outwood Academy Valley

Start Date: 01/11/2026

Salary (Actual Salary): £32,916 to £51,048

Working Pattern: 32.5 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, Term Time only

Temporary Post: 01/11/2026 to 23/07/2027 (or return date of substantive post-holder if earlier)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality music teaching and ensure student success using a range of teaching and learning strategies.
• Actively contribute to the Performing Arts department, supporting production and concert activities.
• Develop and lead soloist and ensemble groups, encouraging excellence and participation.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, quality of work, and support the stability of the department.
• Utilize curriculum developments and create innovative solutions to improve learning.
