Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - The Avenue

Vertex are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Engineer to cover The Avenue - One Bedford Avenue. Reporting to the Account Director you will be working on a 1-man site. You will provide all-round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure. You will have a detailed understanding of all current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/Building Codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Completion of PPM and Reactive tasks including fire alarm testing, Emergency lighting testing and repair, pump service, FCU servicing, CHW & LTHW Systems, plumbing jobs like replacing taps, unblocking toilets, TMV servicing, taps temps/flushing & shower heads descale. Generator running and servicing. AHU's servicing. Calorifiers. BMS checks/adjustments. Pressurisation units. General handyman jobs. DB's. Chillers. Fault finding and housekeeping, etc
• Timely implementation and recording of all statutory inspections
• Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner
• Maintain effective updates to the client (Verbally & via email) including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping
• Control of 3rd party contractors including signing them in and monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable
• Attend client meetings
• Carry out eLearning/Tool Box Talks
• There will be overtime for FCU servicing, escorting contractors. Etc

The hours of work average 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Flexibility is required in order to complete the duties associated with the role.
