What will my role be as a Multi Skilled Theatre Technician - Casual?

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. The role includes supporting and supervising all general technical aspects of the Trust performance spaces to facilitate the delivery of shows, events, functions and meetings. Duties also encompass preparing rooms and facilities, supporting the Technical Management Team, liaising with clients, maintaining a safe working environment, and acting as the technical representative for the Trust for technical management, operations and production, and health and safety when on shift.

What do I need to have?

• Qualified to Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant subject or qualified by practical experience
• Experience of stage lighting design, setup and control
• Experience of health and safety procedures in relation to stage operations
• Experience of supporting public performances as a technician
• Knowledge of theatre counterweight flying systems and mechanical loading systems
• Proactive and innovative with ability to work without supervision
• Good organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written, and excellent interpersonal skills
