Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in County Cavan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Technician to join an engineering team, supporting the day-to-day maintenance of production equipment while driving reliability, reducing downtime and ensuring the plant operates to the highest standards.

The Role

• Carry out reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections of machinery, electrical panels and equipment.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning of new machinery.
• Work closely with the Process Engineer and wider Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Record all maintenance activities, breakdowns and downtime through the CMMS system.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, health and safety and food safety standards.
• Coordinate and support external contractors where required.

About You

• Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Trade background.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
