Marshalls plc, a leading provider of hard landscaping, building and roofing products, seeks an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our production site in Sittingbourne.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site.

Working 42 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm with a 3.30pm finish on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained, or time served, with recognized Mechanical or Electrical qualifications
• Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
• Practical hands on approach
• Experience of the maintenance of a plant and equipment, with experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics as an advantage
• Experience in fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
• Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations
• Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team leaders from both maintenance and production
• PLC fault finding and VSD knowledge would be advantageous
