Multi-skilled Engineer

STEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for an Multi-skilled Engineer for their highly acclaimed client based in the Livingston area.

The position involves providing support to the manufacturing business covering a full range of maintenance to all of the site's equipment. You will perform a schedule of planned preventative maintenance in order to minimise downtime and be on hand to deal with breakdown in a quick and efficient manner so that production can resume very quickly.

The role requires someone who can work both mechanical and electrical maintenance so you should be comfortable with both

The job itself will have a great deal of variety and include:

Emergency breakdown maintenance

Completing a schedule of planned preventive maintenance

Working on engineering projects

Logging all records and completing documentation

Performing continuous improvement activities

Operating to health and safety standards

Complying with quality and industry standards

Working on motors, gearboxes and pumps

The job involves working across several departments, building good working relationships with colleagues and also dealing with external contractors where required. The shift pattern is a day shift covering 7am-4pm Monday to Friday.
